Heavy duty hinge

THE TROJAN GROUP has extended its heavy-duty Athena Door Hinge range to include a version suitable for composite doors.

Tony Chadwick, Group Managing Director, said: “The Athena Hinge has proven very popular since we introduced it last year. Now fabricators and installers can take advantage of its unique, patented design when working with composite doors too.”

The Athena Door Hinge exceeds the requirements for PAS 24:2016. Three Athena door hinges have a combined carrying weight of 100kg.

The Athena Door Hinge is available in White, Black, Brown Oak (UV stabilised), Polished Chrome, PVD Gold, Satin Silver and any RAL colour. It has been corrosion tested to the requirements of BS EN 1670; the painted finishes achieve Grade 5 and the plated finishes Grade 4. It also conforms to BS EN 1191 for window and door repeated opening and has been tested to 100,000 cycles. Like all Trojan products, it comes with a ten year mechanical guarantee.
