DW3 grows to four with Eclectic and Widgets acquisition

Newly-formed investment vehicle DW3 Products Group has acquired Eclectic Systems, best known for its Residence 9 flush sash window system, and component supplier Window Widgets from Dan Gill, founder of both businesses.

The acquisitions bring the total number of companies in the DW3 Products Group to four, along with Nice Door Panels, and the four month old group is already signaling further acquisition and investment for 2015 and beyond.

DW3 Products Group CEO Gareth Mobley said: “This is an incredibly exciting investment for us. Under Dan’s stewardship, R9 has grown exponentially over the last three years and Window Widgets has become hugely important as an industry favourite for fabricators from all corners of the U.K and Ireland. Dan has an exceptional talent for developing truly game-changing products. The combination of our know-how and shared passion to redefine this industry creates significant potential for the Group.”

Dan Gill will become CEO of the DW3 Group Window Division with immediate effect and also sit on the main DW3 Board. He said of the acquisition: “This means we can fast track some new product launches and blossom into a fully-fledged systems house as we build the wider group through organic growth and acquisition. I am really looking forward to working alongside Gareth and the great team that’s been assembled.”

Gareth added: “The introduction of Dan as the CEO for the Window Division will provide us with prodigious expertise in terms of product design and engineering. This investment will have a transformational effect on the group and we hope, on the wider industry. We have a lot up our sleeves, so installers and fabricators can look forward to more revolutionary products in the near future.”

DW3 is underpinned by North-West based NorthEdge Capital, which manages a £225 million private equity fund.
