Recession-busting service
As the recession bites, some companies are suffering as their markets contract. Others, however, are taking advantage of new marketing techniques and are seeing their businesses flourish.
Online lead generation company, Quotatis, provides one such modern service.
Jim Allsop, owner of Freeform Construction, has been in the building trade since 2002, and has been running his own business for the past two years. In November 2008, James started buying leads from online lead generation company Quotatis. “I’ve not looked back since,” he said excitedly. “Quotatis is now absolutely integral to the success of my business. Recently, I bought 10 leads, out of which I won three jobs, which have given me a £7,000 profit – but the three I won were the last three I quoted for, so I reckon that’s a 100% success rate,” Jim laughed.
Jim admitted that he’s been on a steep learning curve since joining Quotatis. He’s bought a new van, headed letter paper, business cards, and developed a more professional approach to submitting quotes by email, and handling payments. “It’s changed the way I work,” he said. “I’m now going through the process of joining the FMB, because that’s the sort of thing that customers want to see.”
