Speaking your language
Russian, Chinese or even Thai – whatever your language, Fab & Fix can speak it too. The hardware company has launched a new series of international brochures profiling its entire window and door hardware range in eight languages to serve its growing export markets.
Dedicated versions have also been produced for customers in Germany, France, Poland, Sweden and Denmark, complementing the website www.fabnfix.co.uk that has also been translated to communicate with foreign customers.
The Coventry-based company’s suite of hardware is suitable for pvcu, timber, aluminium and steel, allowing customers to colour-match all types of window and door hardware regardless of the particular style chosen. This ‘suiteing’ concept, which includes handles, hinges, letterplates and locks, has proved very popular with customers throughout the UK and the world.
Last year, buoyant export sales contributed to 12% sales growth for Fab & Fix. This success was officially recognised when the firm was highly commended for its business development in the 2008 UK Trade and Investment’s Passport to Export Awards for West Midlands companies.
MD Phil Freeman predicts this international business will continue to grow, despite the tough global economic climate. Key to its export success, he said, is the company’s ability to offer hardware solutions tailored to the needs of specialist foreign markets through its in-house design and testing facilities.
Phil said: “We’ve already established three agencies in key foreign markets and expect within the next year to be looking at over £1m-worth of export business.”
