Association on show
13th November 2018

CERTASS TRADE ASSOCIATION was talking to installers about the new trade association and Certass’ Certass TA on the People in Glazing Society (PiGS) Pavilion at The Build Show, part of UK Construction Week.

Chair Jon Vanstone said: “CTA was launched to offer more opportunities for installers to make their voices heard and get access to practical business support. It was great to be part of a show that was offering similar opportunities to other construction professionals.

“The seminars at the show talked about the very issues that Certass TA has pledged to address as part of our campaign to improve the glazing industry too – skills shortages, diversity, industry reputation and embracing digital. The next step for the construction industry, and the glazing sector, is to start creating real action plans from these debates so that we can move forward and improve the industry.

“It was great to see so many young people from schools at the show. We know that the glazing and construction industries offer lots of opportunities to people just starting out in their careers, so it’s good to see that UK Construction Week is inviting pupils from local schools and colleges to attend the show.”

Jon adds: “As well as giving people a place where they could enquire about TA membership, being on the PiGs stand meant we had the opportunity to do lots of networking and make some great new industry contacts.”
