Altec Systems, the newest name in the aluminium systems market, has chosen the LogiKal software solution from Business Micros (Aluminium) as its software launch partner.

Managing Director Carl Richards says : “LogiKal has quite deservedly become the dominant software system across the aluminium sector so it is obviously essential that our new systems are fully compatible with it and all of our new datasets are available to fabricators already using LogiKal.

“We have worked closely with the technical and programming team at Business Micros (Aluminium) ahead of our launch so that fabricators can quickly and easily add our systems to their product ranges.”

Altec, which is based in new premises in Pyle, Bridgend, has just launched a new patent pending aluminium window system capable of achieving a U-Value of less than 1.4 equivalent to a WER A rating in a standard 60mm casement window fitted with a standard Argon filled double glazed unit.

A key feature within LogiKal enables fabricators to calculate the U-Value of a window at the design stage so it will be possible for them to make side by side comparisons of the thermal efficiency of their existing windows with the Altec Systems’ alternative.

LogiKal also allows cost comparisons to be carried out so that all those projects where the Altec Systems is the most thermally or cost efficient solution will be instantly identified for users.

Carl Richards adds: “Via LogiKal, fabricators will be able to see for themselves the benefits and opportunities presented by our new system and we are very confident that it will have a real impact on our ability to win business from the outset.”

From its new base in South Wales, Altec Systems is supplying curtain walling, windows and door systems to fabricators across the UK.

LogiKal, which is distributed exclusively in the UK and Ireland by Business Micros (Aluminium) is already the most widely used aluminium software application in the UK. More than 20 profile databases are already available including Aluprof, Blyweert Beaufort, Bowater Architectural, Comar, Hueck, Ikon, Jack Aluminium, Metal Technology, Reynaers, SAPA, Schüco, Seniors, Smarts, Technal and Universal.
