The benefits of Sheerframe’s composite door profiles can be summed up in a simple countdown: 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.
The Sheerframe 70mm composite door profiles use a unique five chamber profile. Resulting in a more thermally efficient product, helping homeowners reduce their energy bills and carbon footprint.
Another unique feature is the choice of four reinforcement options: steel, aluminium and two variations of the company’s Thermlock structural PVC profile, which provides greater screw pull out strength, better security and better thermal performance than traditional reinforcing.
The system has a three seal design that ensures the doors are more watertight and durable than the alternatives, meaning that they are able to achieve a high weather performance level. The composite door product portfolio also includes a dedicated three seal transom which allows integral top and sidelights to be manufactured, improving manufacturing efficiencies.
There are two profile suites, bevel and ovolo. The two are completely interchangeable, giving greater design flexibility and helping homeowners to create a stylish appearance for their door. There are also two outer frame sizes, the standard large and the small, which has been designed for narrow openings and reduces the need to cut down leafs.
These numbers add up to create a single composite door profile system that offers a wealth of practical and aesthetic benefits.
Like all Sheerframe products, the profiles are calcium organic stabilized, completely lead free and manufactured under the Environmental Standard EN ISO 14001.
Gary Doxey, Sheerframe’s Marketing Manager, said, “We are very proud of our composite door profile system. It is suitable for steel skinned, timber, GRP or other composite leafs, making it extremely flexible. It also offers stunning aesthetics, high security and excellent performance while still meeting our requirements for environmental sustainability. It’s a great choice for any portfolio.”
