STEPPING UP SECURITY
13th May 2014

Pioneer Trading has announced that all its SynerJy and Signature window products from now on will be fitted as standard with the new Yale Blade security lock.

The lock, with its unique rotating action, gives a window that is smooth and easy to operate, with a long life expectancy – tested to 30,000 operations – as well as high security specification, ease of installation and low maintenance. It also comes with a 12-year mechanical guarantee.

Company owner Danny Williams said: “This lock, with its high specification, is the new definition of security in the future. We have no hesitation in fitting the Yale Blade as standard and it will be a real bonus – and a selling point – for every SynerJy and Signature window we supply. Our installer customers already enjoy a number of benefits over other window fabricators and this advanced lock system will add yet another to the list.”

According to Yale, the Blade is ‘a unique, fully retractable window lock, sitting flush within the Eurogroove, removing issues of cam clash and keep alignment.’ It also allows separate installation of the keep and lock prior to the hanging of the sash to deliver greater flexibility and efficiency during fabrication.

The new addition comes as Pioneer is celebrating three years since the launch of its Signature Sash, said to be Europe’s most energy-efficient window and widely acclaimed for its sleek looks and slender sightlines. Designed in association with Synseal, it offers both a greater glass area from its slimmer sightlines and a BFRC Rating of up to A+30, which beats any other window in Europe. Its rigid structure means it needs minimal reinforcement, giving further savings on cost as well as weigh and enabling a wider span for the sash, extending the recommended maximum for PVCU from 600mm to 700mm.
