Guests at Palace Garden Party
13th June 2017

Jackloc®, the Queen’s Award-winning window and door restrictor specialists were special guests at a Royal Garden Party at Buckingham Palace to celebrate 100 years of the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA).

With Her Majesty The Queen as their patron, the charity was granted permission to hold a Royal Garden Party in special recognition of a century of campaigning to change attitudes and legislation to reduce accidents and improve safety for families. As the creators of the original range of universal cable restrictors which have set the benchmark for window safety worldwide and RoSPA members, Jackloc were on the exclusive guest list.

“We were absolutely thrilled to attend such a special event to mark RoSPA’s remarkable 100-year anniversary,” comments Emma Wells, Jackloc Founder and Director. “Buckingham Palace provided the perfect setting to celebrate the hard work RoSPA does to save lives and reduce the risk of injuries. We truly value our RoSPA membership which has been so beneficial in providing us with the information, knowledge and support we need to continue our work of dramatically reducing the risk of falls from windows.”

Fellow Jackloc Director and Emma’s sister Judith Burrows adds: “With their hard work and dedication, RoSPA has an incredible success rate of reducing accidents through spearheading vital campaigns. We’re incredibly proud to be associated with RoSPA and to have our products endorsed by such a wonderful charity.”

Joining RoSPA in 2011, Jackloc celebrated with fellow members, special guests and ambassadors including James Cracknell OBE. The afternoon tea in scorching temperatures was hosted by HRH The Duke of York and his daughter Princess Eugenie. The Garden Party was the Leicestershire firm’s first visit to the Palace, and will be making a second visit later in the year to receive the most prestigious award in UK business, The Queen’s Award for Enterprise in Innovation 2017.
