New transom closer
A new transom door closer has been developed by Adams Rite.
After being field-trialled for 12 months, this new closer will supercede the existing model, offering a longer life cycle and smoother operation, the company claimed.
It features a new body cast with the Assa Abloy endorsed logo while the internal mechanism has been independently tested to 500,000 cycles. A key feature of the new body is a reduced thickness to 37.4mm, allowing installation into the slimmest sections.
Tim Almond, business development manager for Adams Rite, said: “Stock of the new body will begin arriving in August this year and, to reduce confusion and potential costly system maintenance for our customers, we are retaining the existing codes and are offering the range packaged in the same way with the same accessories.
“By also maintaining the same pricing structure, we believe that the improved product will benefit our customers both in terms of quality and value for money.”
