PREMIUM FENESTRATION WITH BLACK MILLWORK
13th January 2015

Showcasing its high quality timber windows and doors, a selection of its latest aluminium and aluminium clad window range and highlights from its Andersen portfolio, Black Millwork will be attending this year’s Ecobuild on stand S7040.

Black Millwork’s innovative range of quality aluminium windows achieves exceptional performance ratings and incorporates a number of contemporary designs, whilst having the added benefit of being an extremely sustainable specification choice.

Delivering exceptional U-values as low as 0.7W/m2K – lower than the Passivhaus standard of 0.8W/m2K, Black Millwork’s aluminium clad windows are available in a variety of RAL colours and bespoke shapes and sizes, providing a modern finish to all types of properties.

What’s more, aluminium is impervious to corrosion which results in a virtually maintenance free life expectancy of the windows. Aluminium is also one of the most sustainable building materials available, as it can be recycled again and again without any loss in quality. Indeed, it’s been estimated that 75% of all the aluminium ever produced is still in use today.

Gary Hutton, General Manager at Black Millwork, commented: “We’re very much looking forward to presenting our wide range of products at this year’s Ecobuild following a successful event last year.

“We are particularly proud of our aluminium range of windows which was born out of our response to customer feedback that revealed a demand for more contemporary fenestration options. We therefore developed the range to combine this new style and our usual premium production values and environmental performance ratings.”

Also on display at Black Millwork’s stand will be its high performance Urban Sliding Sash windows. Available in either double or triple glazing and manufactured from quality knot-free engineered Baltic pine, the Urban Sliding Sash range combines classic Victorian lines with the technical benefits of a modern product – an ideal solution for both period refurbishments and elegant new build properties.

This range also proves that traditional aesthetics do not have to come at the expense of energy efficiency, as the units achieve a U-value of 1.5 W/m2K for the double glazed option and 1.3 W/m2K for the tripled glazed choice.

In addition Black Millwork will also be showcasing its range of high specification 68mm engineered timber entrance doors and appealing range of fenestration choices, including its oak casement, flush casement and tilt and turn windows.

Finally, as the sole UK distributors of Andersen Windows, Black Millwork will showcase a selection of products from this portfolio, including its popular Woodwright vertical sliding sash windows. Andersen windows are a highly sustainable choice with the incorporation of Fibrex® - a new generation wood, which is manufactured with up to 50% recycled pine waste, and provides the strength and durability of wood but with low maintenance.
