Retro upgrade
12th September 2017

SCHUECO JANSEN has upgraded its Janisol Arte ‘retro’ renovation window with the launch of Janisol Arte 2.0.

Janisol Arte 2.0 offers a new and enlarged range of profiles with sight-lines from 25 mm, including a new profile shape with an integrated weatherstrip groove which offers a push-in rebate gasket to simplify and speed-up fabrication times.

The system also has more glazing bead shapes, including right-angled, bevelled, scotia and flat – to make it easier to find a match for steel windows that are being replaced.

The company says it is now possible to add laser-welded profiles to standard Arte profiles to increase mullion spans for larger areas of fenestration.

It is available in all conventional opening types common in pre- and post-war industrial buildings, but maximum vent weights have increased to 150 kg as a result of a new 3D adjustable stainless steel hinge.

The company also says that simpler fabrication techniques reduce manufacturing time by up to 85%.

Also, new foam profiles between the glass and the frame mean insulation has been enhanced and drainage has been umproved by the introduction of insert profiles.

All Janisol Arte 2.0 profiles go through the ZF 100 galvannealed hot-dip process, which also results in enhanced processing weldability.

Janisol Arte 2.0 profiles can be specified in high-grade austenitic 1.4401 stainless steel or Corten steel as well as standard steel profiles.
