JACK ALUMINIUM’s curtain walling and PAS 24 thermal TD68 Jack Door, are best known for their exterior applications but the slim line frame and easy assembly, ‘clip in plate and ladder’ system has brought them inside for refurbishment at former BBC broadcasting offices.
Essex-based IDF Aluminium Ltd used 29 Jack Doors and 15 Jack Aluminium Curtain Walling screens to build internal office partitions inside Henry Wood House in London, The Office Group’s new 76,000 sq ft office space.
William Woods, Director at IDF Aluminium said: “We have worked with Jack Aluminium for many years using its doors and curtain walling system to create impressive building entrances, schools frontages and even an aerodrome terminal. When we started looking for a system to use internally we thought of Jack Aluminium curtain walling straight away. It allowed us to use large glass panels to create as much light as possible and the ‘clip in plate and ladder’ system made it simple to manoeuvre into the building and assemble once inside.”
