New plant boosts foiling capacity

EPWIN GROUP WINDOW SYSTEMS DIVISION has increased its foiling capacity by 25% with the opening of a new £1.3m finishing facility.

The plant enables the division, inclusive of Profile 22, Spectus Window Systems, Swish Windows & Doors and PatioMaster, to respond to the rising demand for foiled products; helping to drive down lead times and achieve higher service levels.

Managing Director, Clare O’Hara said: “This investment is about more than just enhancing our product offering, it’s about being responsive; making us easier to deal with. The demand for foiled windows is showing no sign of abating; in building the new plant we are already one step ahead of the curve. We’ve increased capacity and ramped up the number and volume of stocked foiled product; both are tangible business benefits for our customers.”

The new facility will carry 1500 tonnes of stocked profile, housed within a 60,000 square foot facility, in what is believed to be the largest foiling facility of its kind in the UK.
