Trade fabricator MODPLAN signed up six installers for its Leka the warm roofing system in the first month since its FIT Show launch, the company as announced.
Modplan Managing Director Heidi Sachs said: “The impact it’s going to have on the industry is reflected in the rapid rate of installer sign ups. The standout benefit is undoubtedly the U value of 0.15, but that’s only the start.”
Manufactured in a dedicated factory in Modplan’s Newport headquarters, the Leka warm roof is said to be the only GRP-structured thermally layered roof on the market. The lack of any aluminium or wood components in the construction means no cold bridging and no condensation, says the company. It also means it is up to 40% lighter than alternative solid roofs which means it can be used in many more applications.
Installer partners are given full training, marketing support and sales software so they can become a Leka Approved Installer. The product has already been approved by Network Veka and has achieved jhai Building Control accreditation.
