Vickie Brown becomes Chartered Director

DISTINCTION DOORS finance director Vickie Brown has been inducted to join only 1,500 business leaders worldwide as a Chartered Director, said to be the most prestigious qualification awarded by the Institute of Directors.

Vickie, who also scored one of the highest marks this year in the Institute’s exams, will now go on to take part in the IoDs Director of the Year finals at the Royal Horticultural Halls near Westminster, to establish who is the country’s top newly qualified director.

“As a finance director and shareholder, the way I interact with my industry and our employees is of utmost importance,” she said, “I have been fortunate enough to reach a stage in my career where the decisions I make drive our fiscal business to new heights; something I can now underpin with the approaches I have learned in my training.

“Our chief executive Andrew Fowlds is also a chartered director, and so the support I received from my colleagues has been unwavering.”

Vickie’s qualification supports the growing stronghold of female directors taking leading roles in UK businesses.
