CENSolutions, the consultancy and test facility for the window, door and glazing industries, has seen more than 20 companies take advantage of its gold Secured by Design approved CMS Quality Mark, following the launch of the Gold, Silver & Bronze three tier package earlier this year to coincide with the Olympics.

Wayne Rogerson, Joint Managing Director of CENSolutions says: “We launched the new three tier version of our BS EN 14351 CMS Quality Mark in February to give companies an easier way of identifying their requirements and what we can do to help them ensure compliance across the board. Most of these new customers are companies that are new to product certification while the rest have taken the decision to switch from other third party certification providers for a better service.

“The Bronze package we offer is the basic entry level scheme which ensures customers are compliant with the minimum requirements of BS EN 14351 and enabling products to be CE Marked. The Silver package ensures minimum compliance with BS EN 14351 as well as compliance with BS 6375, BS EN 12210, BS EN 1026 and BS EN 1027 for weather performance. Silver package customers also benefit from annual window and/or door testing - including the important requirement for windows and doors to be tested for weather performance - plus bi-annual auditing to satisfy the technical requirements of key specifiers.

“Customers that want to compete for contracts requiring Secured by Design have been signing up for our Gold package which includes everything in the silver package with the addition of BS 7950, or BS EN 1627-30 and/or PAS 24-09 for enhanced security. With CENSolutions working in partnership with ER Certification and Wintech these customers can benefit from annual window and door testing, with bi-annual auditing to satisfy the technical requirements of the key specifiers such as Secured by Design.”
