Environmental standard achieved
Winkhaus UK has achieved EN14001 – the environmental standard.
During the audit process the assessor said: “Winkhaus employees have shown tremendous commitment throughout the implementation of the process and there was a very strong desire to improve environmental performance. All the processes reviewed during the audit were found to be operating effectively.
“The company has made great strides in reducing the amount of waste generated.”
Winkhaus said that it continues to minimise waste arising, promote recycling, reduce energy consumption, reduce harmful emissions and, where possible, work with customers and suppliers who themselves have sound environment policies.
