‘Industry first’ for A rated top swing
WHS Halo’s pvcu top swing window can now be manufactured to achieve a WER A rating; it is believed to be the first ever WER A rated top swing with double glazing – regardless of frame material.
The innovations include a new thermal insert for the outerframe. This insert effectively increases the number of chambers, thereby reducing cold bridging and increasing rigidity. The insert also features a channel into which a new steel reinforcement bar can be fitted. This ensures structural rigidity and provides a secure anchor for hardware.
Sales and marketing director Dave Mulholland said: “This exciting window is yet another example of WHS Halo’s commitment to our customers and to helping them secure additional, profitable business. The fact that it is the only A rated top swing currently available puts our fabricators way ahead of the competition.”
The top swing is part of WHS Halo’s System 10 profile range. A variety of glass and spacer bar options can be used to achieve an A rating.
