New Urbane suite
TimberWindows.com, the engineered timber window system company, has launched Urbane, a new suite of contemporary engineered timber windows and doors.
British designed and manufactured in the UK, Urbane meets the demand from end-users and architects for clean, modern, stylish products for new-build and period properties. A significant proportion of end-users want contemporary timber frames that do not have ovolo beads, period handles or mullions/transoms with decorative features. The Urbane suite satisfies that requirement and opens up new selling opportunities for installers.
The Urbane contemporary suite consists of a selection of door styles, a flush casement and a stormproof window. Each product is made to measure and fully factory finished with high performance micro-porous paint, available in any RAL colour or in a choice of stain finishes or a dual colour option.
The windows are internally beaded with dummy sashes in all fixed areas and are fitted with high security multi-point locking mechanisms, easy clean hinges and a dual locking position for night ventilation.
When glazed a centre pane U-value of 1.1 W/m²K is achieved with argon gas filled double glazed units comprising soft-coat energy saving glass and warm edge spacer bars. The Flush casement offers an A energy rating and the Stormproof window a B energy rating.
Doors are supplied with stainless steel furniture and hinges and hung within a matching timber outerframe. Options include sidelights, matching side panels, fanlights, a mobility threshold and house numbers incorporated in sandblasted glass.
