CareyGlass has supplied over 8,000m2 of Vista Therm low-emissivity insulating glass and Solar Neutral 71/43 glass for new-build apartments in the highly desirable Chelsea Bridge Wharf development
CareyGlass Vista Therm insulating glass units have been installed in four of the apartment blocks at the riverside development, providing over 1,000 luxury properties. The design, manufacture and installation of the buildings’ aluminium glazed facades involved two of the UK’s leading envelope specialists: Parry Bowen and Red Architectural.
CareyGlass won the competitive tender with a proven product and service package. The company’s Vista Therm sealed units met the specification and it was also able to produce units in advance ready for call-off and delivery to site as required, thereby ensuring that there were no costly delays in the build schedule.
The double glazed units supplied for the project are argon gas filled and feature toughened Solar Neutral 71/43 and Vista Therm Elite – a low-emissivity insulating glass exclusive to CareyGlass using a combination of 6mm and 10mm substrates. The units are specified to achieve a high natural light transmission and reduced solar energy transmission with U-values as low as 1.1W/m2K, creating a comfortable energy efficient internal environment.
