10th November 2015
CET Glass has announced further investment in equipment with the introduction of a new laminating system to help manage an anticipated increase in demand as a result of the changes to the building regulations following the introduction of the new Approved Document Q.
Earlier this year, CET announced major investment in a new Bystronic high-speed IGU line helping to increase capacity by 30% as well as improving product quality.
The new laminating system combines two machines for float/laminated cutting with soft coat edge deletion using the Hegla Twin Edge Deletion System. The system is made up of an Optimax Float Table with automatic belt positioning and the EcoLam Plus Laminated Table with automatic measuring, working in combination with the Optimax/EcoLam Plus computer systems. The EcoLam Plus also includes unloading arms for large laminated cut pieces, float cutting is from 3mm to 12mm and the laminated glass can be up to 6mm + 6mm with interlayer.
