‘Phenomenal’ growth continues
10th May 2016

Aluminium specialist CDW SYSTEMS has seen a 53% increase in revenue and the creation of 25 new jobs in the last couple of years.

CDW Systems has been operating for 22 years, manufacturing and supplying a wide range of windows, doors, shops and curtain walling using aluminium profile systems including SAPA, ALUK and Smarts.

Martin Rowe, sales director, said: “We’re delighted to yet again be posting very positive trading figures. Revenue continues to increase and we continue to bring on new customers, meaning we are able to keep creating new jobs.

“It’s clear that the growing popularity of aluminium windows and doors is helping to fuel this growth but you still need the infrastructure, products and people to deliver the very best in quality and service – and that is what we have done.”

Last year CDW invested hundreds of thousands of pounds in revamping its Gloucester-based factory, which included switching to vertical racking instead of horizontal to allow for more storage space and increase efficiency.

The fabricator also introduced a second shift, which has increased production to 16 hours a day to meet increased demand and bring lead times down; and went on a local recruitment drive, which, in turn, has had a positive supply side impact to the local economy.

Martin says CDW will be looking to expand further in the coming months and will be launching a new product for the domestic market, which will be available to its customers.

He added: “We’ve partnered with one of the leading aluminium systems to research, design and bring a new high performance product to market and we will be launching this later this year.

“We are the only fabricator to offer this product, giving our customers a significant advantage over the competition and helping them take advantage of the lucrative sales opportunities in the domestic market.”
