TuffX launches new eco-i spandrel panel

TuffX has launched a new spandrel panel for the architectural market, which the company claims is the first of its kind in the UK.

The eco i-spandrel panel has an insulating core positioned between two screen-printed glass panels which provides U-values of 0.35W/m2K, 0.2 W/m2K and 0.14 W/m2K, and an overall thickness starting from just 28mm that will fit directly into existing glazing systems.

The new eco-i spandrel panel benefits installers, as there is no need for additional internal building works once installed, and it can be screen-printed in any RAL colour. Also, it conforms to the new building regulations that will come into effect in 2010.

The company has developed a good looking product that should reduce labour costs in respect of manufacturing and on-site installation, and there is already great demand for the eco i-spandrel panel, which it is almost completely recyclable and greatly reduces CO2 emissions.

Exceptional benefits for installers include the slimline appearance and high performance qualities. As the insulation is positioned between two screen printed glass panels the eco-i spandrel panel eliminates the need for additional plastering and painting work, so projects appear as good from the interior as from the exterior.
