One Network VEKA installer determined not to be held back by the economic gloom is Camborne-based, Rodda and Hocking.
Following on from the opening of their Redruth showroom in 2010, the award winning installer has opened a new conservatory showroom based at Camborne after celebrating another successful year.
Owner and MD Bob Kerr firmly believes the company's continuing growth is down to customer service and keeping abreast of the changing market place: “In order to move with the times we continue to 'up our game', ensuring we are on top when the market gets tough. We have been winners of the Consumer's Protection Association Gold Customer Care Award for the last three years. Also, after sending a portfolio of installations to the GGF National Awards, we were lucky enough to win a Silver and Bronze in the installation and design category, where we were up against competition from conservatory companies from all over the UK.”
The new showroom, on the town's main road, benefits from its corner position with window displays on both elevations, and showcases the VEKA product and its full range of PVC-U windows, doors and conservatories. The company was honoured to have local MP George Eustice cut the ribbon to the new showroom, after he opened its Redruth showroom two years ago.
After joining Network VEKA earlier this year, Rodda and Hocking are now installing two to three conservatories per week in addition to the usual window and door contracts. Bob continues: “The growth in the conservatory market has definitely had a marked impact on turnover, and add to this our membership to Network VEKA; we can ensure a constant quality of work and our customers can be assured they are receiving a premium service.”
John Ogilvie, MD of Network VEKA expressed his congratulations to the Cornwall installer: “It's always fantastic when one of our member companies is expanding, and the team at Rodda & Hocking have worked incredibly hard to get where they are. We hope that they will continue to prosper.”
