Building facades in Dubai reachable via Gorinchem
Earlier this year XSPlatforms of Gorinchem won a prestigious contract. They will be supplying twelve large facade maintenance systems for Dubai Properties’ Central Park Project. The contract is a result of previous made-to-measure projects in the United Arab Emirates through our own branch in Dubai.
The project
The trend-setting project is a joint venture between Dubai Properties (UAE), Hopkins Architects (UK) and Arabtec (the contractor). The imaginative $400 million high-rise consists of two free-standing buildings with several towers. Hopkins Architects is a company employing 150 people and working from London. It previously designed appealing buildings in Greece, Japan, India, Dubai, the USA and the UK. Arabtec is the largest contractor in the Middle East with around 42,500 employees. The complex is scheduled for completion at the end of 2009.
High-tech. XSPlatforms is supplying twelve facade maintenance systems, six of which can be extended 15 metres vertically and 28 metres horizontally to a maximum height of 240 metres. The XSPlatforms systems have the latest technical features, such as radio control and connection to the Building Management System. Each one weighs approximately 30 tonnes. Delivery will be completed by the end of 2008.
