Solid roof gets ‘thumbs up’

Successfully launched only three months ago, Conservatory Outlet’s solid roof has already proved very popular with its dealer network. Over 50 units have been produced, placing the Yorkshire-based fabricator well on track to reach its first target for solid roofs, of 10 units per week.

Always on the lookout for new ways of supporting dealers, Conservatory Outlet has expanded its portfolio to help clients take advantage of the changing market.

Michael Giscombe, managing director, commented: “This is a very popular product, and opens up exciting opportunities in the conservatory market for our dealer network. The successful launch is down to having the right people taking ownership of the project, but timing too was of the essence. Adding the solid roof to our portfolio was definitely a case of having ‘the right product at the right time’.”
The rising demand coming from dealers has led to Conservatory Outlet further strengthening the solid roof department.
Michael added: “We are committed to helping our dealers introduce the solid roof in their offer. Aside from appointing Brian Oxley as our dedicated production manager for this department, we now have a full time member of staff focusing solely on processing solid roof orders.”

Production manager Brian Oxley has already assisted dealers in showroom or on site installations, making sure the fitting teams are well prepared to deliver projects as smoothly as possible. Two dealers in Scotland are among the first to showcase the product in their brand new showrooms, which will be finalised by the end of the year. Likewise, solid roof conservatories will be an automatic addition to all new dealer showrooms.

Brian said: “Solid roofs are such a lucrative opportunity for our clients, and we’re providing all the necessary support to help them take advantage of it. Half the dealers in our network have already bought or ordered at least one solid roof so far. If things continue this way, we have a realistic long term potential of achieving up to 50 solid roofs per week.”
Aside from technical assistance, Conservatory Outlet dealers also benefit from an exclusive agreement with a private sector Approved Inspector, which helps them obtain building control approval quickly and cost effectively.
