Inventor of the first oscillating multi-function tool, FEIN Power Tools has unveiled its new, more powerful MultiMaster that is 50 per cent quieter and has 70 per cent less vibration than its predecessor.
Nearly 50 years since FEIN launched the first MultiMaster, the new generation boasts a performance that sets even higher standards in noise and vibration level reduction within the oscillating tool market. Importantly, it achieves vibration class zero in virtually all applications meaning that for the first time, an oscillating power tool can be used continuously for eight hours without the need to rest because of health and safety concerns.
The superior handling is achieved thanks to an innovative design, whereby the self-supporting motor is fully decoupled from the motor housing, meaning very little vibration is transferred from the FEIN MultiMaster to the user. Furthermore, thanks to its newly developed 350 W, high-power motor with tachogenerator and its increased amplitude of 2 x 1.7 degrees, the FEIN MultiMaster 350 Q performs sawing tasks around 35 per cent faster than the previous model.
Built and developed in Germany, the new FEIN MultiMaster is the pinnacle of precision engineering and build-quality, able to complete a multitude of tasks such as sawing, sanding, grouting, filing and polishing. Weighing just 1.4kg, it is 15 to 20 per cent lighter than the competition making continuous intensive work is easier than ever to perform.
The FEIN MultiMaster 350 Q is available from specialist retailers in two sets. For a suggested selling price of £179.95 (excluding VAT), the FEIN MultiMaster QuickStart offers users accessories for a wide range of sanding and long-life sawing applications and also includes a rigid stopper knife. The FEIN MultiMaster Top includes even more accessories than the QuickStart, including accessories for dust-free sanding and a carbide segment saw blade and rasp for £209.95 (excluding VAT).
In addition to the standard MultiMaster 350Q, FEIN is launching a new introductory model called the FEIN MultiTalent (FMT250). Delivering 250 W of power, the MultiTalent is powerful and reliable and meets FEIN’s high performance and quality standards. The new FEIN MultiTalent is based on the 2007 – 2014 MultiMaster and still achieves greater work progress than all other competitor products on the market.
The FEIN MultiTalent is available in two sets, either with or without the QuickIN clamping system for tool-free accessory changes. Offering basic accessories for sanding and sawing applications, the MultiTalent is an attractive introduction to the versatility and quality of FEIN. The sets come in plastic tool cases and have a suggested selling price of £109.95 (excluding VAT) for the FEIN MultiTalent Start (allen key accessory changes) and £139.95 (excluding VAT) for the FEIN MultiTalent QuickStart (QuickIN accessory changes).
