Cotswold steps up investment programme
9th September 2014

Cotswold Architectural Products recently completed the second stage of an ambitious investment programme, by re-vamping its main factory and embarking on a recruitment drive.

The Cheltenham based friction stay supplier recently reported that sales were substantially higher this year when compared to same time last year, in what represented another record breaking period of trading for the company.
Management at the company said that demand for its EZ range of friction stays in the UK; and demand for its heavy duty range abroad is driving the growth.

For its factory re-vamp Cotswold has updated machinery including its EZ-line, increased plant capacity, installed new racking and a new canteen; incorporated a new sustainable LED lighting system and upgraded all corporate wear and footwear.

The company has also added a number of new faces to its payroll, taking the staff number total to over 80 at the Cheltenham site.

Tim Ferkin, General Manager, comments: “We forecast even stronger demand going forward and therefore deemed it necessary to complete this stage of our investment plan.

“We will shortly be kick starting a major IT upgrade, as well as investing further in our design facilities. This is all good news for our customers as we endeavour to drive lead times down and work with them to deliver bespoke hardware solutions.”

Cotswold currently supplies its innovative hardware solutions into 56 countries globally; and in some of the world’s most prestigious buildings.

And as well as being involved in projects worldwide, Cotswold also regularly create bespoke solutions for fabricators across the UK, including some of the industry’s most well-known names such as Polyframe and Safestyle; Metal Technology and Kawneer.
