Swish Window and Door Systems is offering new PAS24 approved hardware across its complete door range. Available on all residential PVC-U, composite and inline sliding doors, the new offer delivers an enhanced level of security meeting the new and far more stringent PAS24 test.
Phil Duncombe, Swish Window and Door Systems, said: “The revision of PAS24 last year delivered a significant step change in security requirements. The solution that we now have is available across our product range and importantly won’t deliver any significant impact on door set manufacture.”
The PAS24 test is applied to completed door sets and is a precursor to Secured by Design qualification. To qualify under the updated standard, a kite marked cylinder has to pass testing for drill-resistance, core extraction and bumping, plus manual attack.
Across its PVC-U door and inline sliding door ranges, Swish has employed new Hoppe advanced security handles, available in a variety of finishes. New security bolts deliver increased resistance to attack. Handles incorporate a sliding cylinder cover, while the PVC-U handle also features a new external aluminium backplate and Quick-Fit spindle.
Duncombe added: “According to the Home Office, attacks on cylinders feature in a large percentage of the million burglaries or attempted burglaries committed in the UK each year.
“In offering a solution to that, as an industry, we now have a very strong retail proposition.”
