SOLAR WINS RECOGNITION FOR HEALTH AND SAFETY INITIATIVE
9th October 2012
REHAU fabricator Solar Windows has been shortlisted in the Health and Safety Initiative of the Year category at the G12 Awards on the basis of its work in the commercial sector.
Over recent years, Solar has gone way beyond the statutory requirements for Health & Safety in both its manufacturing and installation operations and the results during 2012 have been outstanding with zero Reportable Accidents under RIDDOR, reduced downtime due to accidents and significant new business wins from customers who stated Health & Safety performance as one of their key specification criteria.
Bob Jenkins, Operations Manager at Solar Windows, says: “We have always recognised that Health and Safety training and procedures are an investment and not a cost and we’re delighted to see that recognised by the G-12 judges.
“The G-12 Awards reward the very best companies in the glass and glazing industry and we are delighted to be amongst them.”
