Pioneer Trading has invested further in the marketing support for its Signature Dealer Network by optimising its Signature Dealer Network web site for smartphone.
Following the growth of mobile Internet useage the Signature web site now automatically switches to the optimised format when it detects access by a smartphone, allowing the site to be used conveniently by users on the move. The decision to complete the project follows the commonly accepted predictions that mobile Internet access will outstrip desktop connections by the end of 2012 and that the faster 4G Internet capability for mobiles will also soon be widely available, further encouraging Internet on–the-move.
“The trends are that actual retail purchases continue to be made using desktop PCs” said Danny Williams, managing director of Pioneer Trading. “However, more than 40% of UK adults now own a smartphone with direct access to the Internet. This shows widespread and increasing use of the Internet for reference on the move. More of us will now surf the Internet using our mobiles whilst waiting in a queue or in a doctors surgery to research purchases, especially higher priced capital items, including windows, door and conservatories. Our Smartphone optimised site allows people to view the key information clearly, including finding the address of their nearest dealer, without having to adapt to view the web site by sizing up sections. We are already detecting significant additional smartphone useage,” added Danny.
