Frames Conservatories Direct launches £10,000 charity competition

Frames Conservatories Direct is promoting an unusual competition to raise funds for its local hospice, St Nicholas Hospice Care – they’re looking for a ‘model family’. The company, a Founding Member of the Double Glazing and Conservatory Ombudsman Scheme (DGCOS), has adopted the hospice as its charity partner, aiming to raise £10,000 which will pay for running the hospice for one day.
The first fundraiser is a competition to find a local family who will become the new faces of their 2013 press advertising campaign. Families are invited to attend a free photo-shoot and casting session run in association with the local newspaper the Bury Mercury. Families - parents, children, grandparents, step-families – are welcome to turn up at the Frames Conservatories Direct showroom for a free 6 x 4 photograph. Readers of the Bury Mercury will then vote for the winning family, which will receive £500 worth of shopping vouchers. Frames Conservatories Direct will donate £10 to St Nicholas Hospice Care for each family which attends and has a portrait taken.
Adrian Lewis, Managing Director of Frames Conservatories Direct, says the hospice is hugely important to the community: “When we were looking for a charity to team up with this year, St Nicholas Hospice Care immediately came to mind. Their wonderful care has touched the lives of hundreds of local families over the years and as a local company, it’s a pleasure to help in any way we can.”
