Refurbishment of day care centre
9th May 2017

KINGFISHER UPVC WINDOWS AND DOORS of Drighlington has completed a £91,000 refurbishment of a day care centre in Leeds for adults with learning and disabilities.

The project that included the removal and replacement of more than 47 windows and 15 door sets, as well as curtain walling, was carried out using the Senior Aluminium System powder coated in a moderate, light grey.

The building is currently occupied by Aspire CBS which continues to provide the care and support on behalf of the Council, offering a facility much needed by adults with learning disabilities so they can participate in healthy, safe and fulfilling daytime activities.

The whole project included repairs to the roof, replacement of rainwater goods and the installation of a new CCTV security system, in addition to the replacement of the windows and doors carried out by Kingfisher.

These were the first major refurbishment works to be carried out at the centre since the building was first constructed more than 25 years ago.
