The Mission Hub, Sheffield
9th June 2020
Aluminium curtain walling, doors and windows from SENIOR ARCHITECTURAL SYSTEMS have helped transform a derelict Victorian school into The Mission Hub, a modern place of worship in Sheffield for the Catholic Diocese of Hallam.
Senior supplied the full fenestration package for the new church, with the fabrication and installation undertaken by supply chain partner Allied Glazing Systems for main contractor T & C Williams.
The original building, which dates back to 1863, has been renovated throughout and features Senior’s SPW600 aluminium windows and SPW501 aluminium commercial doors. The arched windows of the former school have been given a new lease of life, with the window system adapted to replicate the look of a traditional steel window. Senior’s SF52 aluminium curtain wall system has been used to create a link between the old building and the new purpose-built extension.
