Installers support recycle message with pro tape vote

Synseal installers have given a resounding vote for a ‘remove and recycle’ message in a dual colour design for the new-style pro tape on its Shield and SynerJy PVC-U profiles.

The choice comes from an online survey for a favourite redesign to replace the system supplier’s existing single-colour tape and beat the two other options of a plain white tape and multi-lingual design featuring English, Welsh, Gaelic, Polish, Punjabi and Gujarati.

 “The research gave us an undisputed winner” said Head of Marketing Mark Schlotel, “The dual-colour design with ‘remove and recycle’ messaging was clearly the favourite and there’s no doubt that these new pro tapes, featuring our distinctive Shield and SynerJy logos, will be a big improvement. Pro tape is an important element in our offering, protecting the extruded PVC-U profiles through the processes of despatch, fabrication, delivery to site and installation where it is viewed by the homeowners and only removed as a final fit operation.”

The new tape, carrying the message ‘Lead-free PVC-U profile / Remove this protective foil immediately after installation / This protective foil is recyclable’ will be phased in as existing stocks of the old pro tapes are exhausted.
