FGI MERCHANTING has introduced a same day service on selected merchanting routes.

Joint Managing Director David Offland, said: “The new service has been designed to offer customers rapid service on stock glass direct from our warehouses. Feedback from our customers suggests the service will be invaluable for those operating Just in Time systems as well as supporting contracts that have a particularly short turnaround time.”

FGI specialises in the fast bulk distribution of stock sheets and packs of glass to double glazing manufacturers and the domestic window industry. It has three stock warehouses and supplies one of the UK’s largest glass ranges from stock. As well as a wide range of float, tint, patterned, solar control and low e glass, FGI also stocks specialist products including low iron, self-cleaning and acoustic laminates, fire glass, and decorative products such as Lacobel, silver, antique silver and satin glasses.
