Thermal control challenge

A south facing orangery provided a challenge for Coral Windows of Bradford to provide thermal control for all year use. The solution was TUFFX Ambience conservatory roof glass Ambi-Blue.

The new-build extension required one of the highest performance roof glasses from the range, which provides 60% solar heat reflection, 47% light transmission and an impressive U-Value of 1.2.  With a true self-cleaning coating it Ambi-Blue remains one of the most popular glass options.

For installers the subtle blue tint offers many advantages including a 53% reduction from the sun's glare that helps to provide year round living whilst also protecting furniture and fabrics from fading.
