Patio door launch

APEER has completed its Lumi suite of windows and doors with the launch of the Lumi Lift & Slide patio door.

The product was unveiled at Grand Designs Live, Birmingham, and SelfBuild & Improve Your Home Show, Dublin, 18 months after the debut of the Lumi system at the Grand Designs event in London last year.

Asa McGillian, MD of Apeer and creator of the Lumi system said: “We began with the windows and doors, adding bi-folds soon after but now the addition of the Lumi Lift & Slide door means we have a complete suite of products so there is no application, new-build or retrofit, where a Lumi window or door would not be the ideal choice.

“Demand for the system has kept on growing and we now have an established network of dealerships covering most of Britain and Ireland, not to mention of course winning the Product of the Year trophy in the G15 Awards.

The aluminium-based Lumi Lift & Slide door offers water-tightness, sound reduction and burglar resistance up to RC2 (WK2), with modular profile insulation that achieves U-values of 1.1 W/m²K. It has a 50mm insulated triple glazed unit and an 80mm draught free double rebate system with a double gasket seal as standard.

The Lumi system is the latest range from Apeer, which also includes its Traditional, Contemporary and Modo composite door collections.
