Sales ‘through the roof’
8th July 2014

East Anglia based trade fabricator Pyramid Windows is experiencing incredible demand for its new Guardian Warm Roof, reporting a 50% increase in sales over the last quarter. Pyramid launched the Guardian Warm Roof in 2013 and it was an immediate hit with installers thirsty for a product that will help them differentiate their business from the competition.

Anticipating strong demand, Pyramid opened a factory dedicated exclusively to Guardian Warm Roof production and as sales director Ian Cowling explains, the factory has been a hive of activity in recent months.

“It’s no exaggeration to say the Guardian roof has gone down a storm with our trade customers” Ian comments. “Homeowners are moving towards premium products such as tiled roof conservatories and installers that have these in their portfolio are winning business at very good margins. The summer months are when homeowners traditionally think about conservatories and adding space and I suspect this has contributed to our 50% sales increase. Thanks to our dedicated Guardian factory we have scope to increase our manufacturing volumes and we look forward to future growth.”

The Guardian Warm Roof offers a U-value of just 0.18 and is very easy to install. It made up of a pre-engineered, lightweight aluminium frame, two layers of rigid installation board, internal insulated plasterboard, exterior grade boarding, vapour membrane and a choice of external tile finishes. One of the key benefits is that it can replace an existing conservatory roof whilst keeping the original windows, door frames and walls, meaning installers can use it to sell to homeowners frustrated by problems with an existing conservatory.

Importantly, the Guardian Warm Roof is the only solid tiled roof on the market that has full Local Authority Building Control Approval. Pyramid has created a footpath with CNC South Norfolk Local Authority to make it quick and easy for installers to gain approval on all Guardian projects. Installers simply need to notify CNC South Norfolk Local Authority when an installation is about to take place, pay the £150 approval charge and they can begin work. If the installation takes place in another area, CNC will liaise with the relevant local authority on behalf of the installer, significantly simplifying the approval process.
