VEKA UK Group is part of the wider VEKA international Group, with seventeen factories across the globe, it is the world’s leading designer and extruder of high quality PVC-U products. The VEKA UK Group has sites based in Burnley and Birmingham and employs 400 people, supplying customers nationwide.

The Role and Person
Reporting to the Head of Technical, the successful candidates will be responsible for designing and developing new and improved products in line with Company strategy and targets.

Responsibilities will include:
• Maintaining an excellent working knowledge of the fenestration industry
• Design and development of new and existing products.
• Project management of product development and implementation through to launch.
• Maintaining and assessing current processes and materials in line with extrusion and fenestration technologies.
• Liaising with wider internal departments.
• Customer contact and service.
• Ensuring compliance with all internal and external quality standards.

Applicants for this position must demonstrate flair and have a proven track record in product design along with excellent communication and liaison skills both with internal and external customers.

Proactive organisational qualities are also key to the role coupled with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet strict deadlines.

Candidates must possess wide I.T. skills, most specifically in relation to Project/Powerpoint and AutoCAD. Proficient use of AutoCAD 2D and 3D would also aide any application.


The current hours of work for this position are 37.5 hours per week based out of our Burnley site, although some degree of travel may be required to customer sites and exhibitions.
