GlassParts. co .uk, supplier of tools, fittings and consumables to the glass, window, and architectural industries, is pleased to announce that just months after its official launch, there has been great uptake on its contemporary Crystal-View frameless balustrade system.

The system is heralded as the company’s most complete yet, with fully adjustable glass to allow for a straight line installation when no handrail is used and options for both surface mount and side fix for glass thicknesses of between 12 and 21.5mm. The balustrade is designed for both indoor and outdoor use and is robust enough for even coastal locations.

Certified to BSi 6180:2011, Crystal-View can accommodate a 1.5Kn loading on 19mm glass with less than 25mm deflection in different installation scenarios. But one of its biggest selling points is its ability to install with minimum fuss, and no need for additional specialist tools, as Kieran Costello Jnr, Sales and Marketing Manager for GlassParts.co.uk explains: “We wanted to launch some exciting new products for 2014, which are designed to be ‘sexy’ yet modular and easier to fit for installers.

Simply bolt the aluminium channel to the sub-structure, place the glass slip clamps on the bottom of the glass, slot the glass into place and press into the clamp bars, then adjust the clamp bars to align the panes and clip in the top seal strip.
