When the great and good of our industry gather at the London Hilton on Park Lane on Friday next week, they will be applauding more than just the G17 category trophy winners. This year, for the first time, they will also see and hear of a few more highly laudable achievements.
The gala event will also see the first ever presentation of the Glass & Glazing Federation’s new Lifetime Achievement Award, launched earlier this year to mark the organisation’s 40th anniversary.
Also new this year, FENSA will use the event to present its first Installation of the Year trophy, which was initiated to celebrate and promote the best in customer care.
And of course, the 600-plus guests will hear for the first time to final total raised by the doughty dozen heroes of GM Fundraising’s first-ever all-female fundraiser, the Paddle2Pedal event.
Outside the G-Awards themselves but a regular feature at the event, The Derek Bonnard Award for Excellence will also be presented for the contribution to the industry by an individual or organisation.
G-Awards organiser Tony Higgin said: “As if anyone need more than the G17 Awards, this is probably the biggest array of trophies and achievements in the event’s history.
“”We are very proud to have been chosen as the platform for recognising these other achievers and we are now all looking forward to the event more than ever.”
The G17 Gala Dinner and Awards Evening, hosted by comedian Russell Kane, will take place at the London Hilton on Park Lane on Friday November 17.
