Veka unveils five-chamber M70

Veka has revealed more details of its new M70 profile system announced last week and previewed at the FIT Show.

The Veka UK Group is not only using the launch to mark the 30th anniversary of its manufacturing presence in the UK but it is also 20 years since the introduction of Matrix systems, remembered by many as the ground-breaker of its era. That has been evolved ever since, not least with the introduction of the fully-sculptured FS70 a few years ago, and the M70 now joins it as an updated and bevelled system.

The headline change with M70 is the additional energy-efficiency from its five-chamber construction but the bevel itself has also been updated, as MD Dave Jones explained: “The new 2016 M70 is a fully-integrated, multi-chambered, bevelled 70mm system with steel reinforcement sections. Additional chambers have increased the thermal performance to meet the demanding current and future requirements for more energy-efficient products, while an updated contemporary bevel will complement any style of home or commercial property.

“The demand for bevelled systems within the commercial and social housing markets remains as strong as ever, with this style of profile accounting for the majority of installations in these sectors. The clean bevelled lines of the new M70 will also appeal to homeowners looking for contemporary aesthetics to enhance their home.”

He said the M70 also has a redesigned bay pole system based on feedback from customers, and added: “The new system is quicker and simpler to fabricate and faster to fit, while enhanced jacking poles provide easy access to allow for on-site adjustment. A choice of neat trim covers in plain or featured finishes offers excellent aesthetics for the homeowner, while minimising any risk of damage.

The company’s Infinity recycled profile system will also be relaunched, offering the same features and benefits of the new M70, but with its recycled core giving the system up to 80% recycled content.”

The M70 system can achieve U-Value of 1.4 W/m²K (WER A+) with double glazing and 0.93 W/m²K (WER A++) with triple.
