Yorkshire based KINGFISHER WINDOWS has switched to the award-winning Optima PVCu system from Profile 22.
Neil Webster, Managing Director of Kingfisher Windows, said: “The decision to change profile is never easy due to the major investment required for changing processes, retooling and restructuring the whole PVCu manufacturing plant to work the new profile. There has been a direct impact on stock management and storage as existing commercial contracts had to be completed using the old systems whilst new projects have been launched using the new Profile 22 specification.
“But with Optima range being launched in April by Profile 22, we quickly recognised the long-term benefits of being able to provide both the conventional Casement and Tilt and Turn PVCu Window alongside a new Flush Casement and Tilt and Turn option This will satisfy a growing market demand from the trade and consumer markets, saving us both on material costs and storage demands as the profiles for both designs are interchangeable – savings that can be passed on to the end user.”
Sales and Marketing Manager Nick Hibberd said: “From a marketing perspective we still have a substantial amount of work to do; renewing brochures and company literature, updating all our social and online media, overhauling our showroom and generally retraining our sales force to present the new features and benefits that the Optima system has to offer.
