Self-tinting glass

CLAYTON GLASS has launched Smartglass Dynamic, said to be the industry’s first automatically self-tinting glass for conservatories, orangeries and other glazing elements.

The glass can be handled in the same way as any other glass unit and will be manufactured in any shape within 10-14 days.

Smartglass Dynamic reacts to warmth by changing from a clear state to a deep blue then returns to clear as it cools, with various semi-tinted states depending on temperature.

The solar factor (G-value) of Smartglass Dynamic varies from 10-34%, with light transmission of 6-60%.

Clayton Glass has developed a Smartglass Dynamic sample kit.
