Opening up new sales
7th February 2012

Leading composite door manufacturer Solidor and sister company Nice Door Panels have grown significantly over the last 18 months and there seems no sign of the growth abating, with more new customers coming on board by the week.

For Solidor the growth has been particularly impressive, as both installation companies and homeowners look towards the 2nd generation composite doors which are packed with new features. Solidor are now able to offer 14 colours inside and out including Chartwell Green and Duck Egg blue, on a proven timber-core based slab.

Similarly, sister company Nice Door Panels has had a record year in 2011, with the option of 14 colours. Both companies are quick to emphasise that getting new products to market quickly and with effective customer support, has been the catalyst for growth. The companies can also claim impressive environmental credentials through their respective ‘Green Promise’ which is supported by a Kömmerling lead-free door frame, Werbar recycled PVCu reinforcement and a comprehensive recycling policy. Solidor also carries ISO9001:2008 and Secured by Design.

Managing director, Gareth Mobley is supported by co-director Lee Williams and area sales representatives Dave Jackson and Dean Foley. Collectively they’ve been able to bring on prestigious new customers such as Affordable Window Systems, Conservatory Outlet, Swift Frame and Total Glass. Existing customers have also prospered thanks to a new website and a 36 page brochure.

Gareth Mobley, managing director comments: “We’ve had a great 18 months not only in new business but helping our existing customers to grow profitably through new marketing tools and product developments. I’m fully expecting this trend to continue over the next few years as the entrance door market looks to more innovative products.”
