FIT issues alert over Corvid scam emails

FIT Show organisers are investigating a series of scam emails claiming to link the cancelled 2020 event with Coronavirus fears and offering heavily discounted lists of show attendees as ‘compensation’.

The message, sent to a number of industry individuals, begins; “Due to coronavirus and concern for the safety of our attendees, FIT Show 2020 has been postponed. To compensate your loss, we make you to access complete attendee list at discount price.”

Show organisers put out a warning: This is a SCAM! Please do not be duped by these unscrupulous individuals & companies - we are investigating.”

FIT 2020 was cancelled earlier this year due to continuing economic uncertainty read story. The next event will still take place as planned on May 25-27, 2021.
