No pane - no gain! - Rob’s doing a dash with a sash* for children’s dream holiday

Rob Horton is going more than the extra mile for a terminally ill children’s charity. The UK Windows trade counter manager aims to do the whole of the London Marathon with a fully-glazed window on his back.
Generous suppliers, led by UAP and Rehau, have already given hundreds to sponsor Rob in aid of Destination Dreams, part of the Caudwell Children charity, to take children with life-threatening illnesses to Walt Disney World in Florida.
Rob, who manages the fabricator’s Plastic Depot trade counter in Stoke-on-Trent, has been helping the charity for a couple of years but, as he explained, it was one moving experience that made him want to do something more:
“I’d been over to Florida with one party but then we heard a couple of the kids had passed away soon after we got back and that brought it all home.
“I’m hoping to raise at least £3,500 to go towards paying for two more kids to make the trip. So far, I have sponsors for one of the glass units and the bag but I still have a long way to go and would really appreciate any further support.”
The Virgin Money London Marathon will be run on Sunday, April 26. Find out more about Rob’s endeavours at:

*Yes, we know it isn’t actually a sash but try finding a running rhyme for ‘casement’
