A residential project with materials from aluminium fabricator THE WINDOW OUTLET has won a Local Authority Building Control Award for ‘Best Individual New House’ in the South West region.
The development, a Fourways property constructed by Bespoke Building Contractors, saw The Window Outlet supply AluK BW58 Windows, BD58 Doors and BSF70 Bi-folds.
The project wasn’t without its challenges, as Bespoke Building Contractors MD Dan Arathoon explained: “By far the biggest issue we faced was the location – we had to design the whole house around an extremely old ash tree in the garden, subject to a preservation order. It took two years just to get planning permission.”
He continued: “Given all the other issues we had to contend with, we were hugely grateful that The Window Outlet made sourcing and fitting the doors and windows so simple – it certainly made our lives so much easier!”
Ben Warren, Managing Director of the Window Outlet added: “Bespoke Building Contractors did a fantastic job in incredibly challenging circumstances.”
The project will now go on to the Grand Final of the LABC Building Excellence Awards in November.
